July 3, 2015 The Unesco Commission in Bonn, puts the Arab-Norman route to Palermo, Monreale and Cefal├╣ in the list of world heritage sites. The itinerary includes nine Arab-Norman monuments, seven of which are located in Palermo, confirming the greatness of historical and artistic culture of this city. The remaining two monuments on the route are the Cathedral of Cefal├╣ and Monreale. The seven monuments in Palermo are: the Royal Palace with the Palatine Chapel, the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Church of Santa Maria dell'ammiraglio (better known as Chiesa della Martorana), the Cathedral, the Church of San Cataldo, the Palazzo della Zisa and Ponte dell'ammiraglio
